However, all the people involved were able to remain safe and sound in this catastrophe, and even continued to reap fame and fortune after the financial storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_content\"><\/span>Key content<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This film interviews many celebrities from the American political and business circles in order to analyze for the audience the causes of the global financial crisis from 2007 to 2008. The film begins with Iceland&#8217;s debt problem and discusses how this unprecedented crisis occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Interview\"><\/span>Interview<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this film, the director interviewed many dozens of people in the financial industry, financial scholars, and government officials. Their personal stories added to the authenticity and watchability of the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Paragraph\"><\/span>Paragraph<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The five-part film explores how changes in the policy environment and banking practices led to the 2008 financial crisis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Part 1: How we got here?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Part II: Bubble Period (2001-2007)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Part Three: The beginning of the crisis. This part is the highlight of the film. The director explains the whole story very clearly and depicts the complex financial operations in a few minutes of film that everyone can understand. Including how the CDO market collapsed, investment banks were left with hundreds of billions of dollars in loans, CDOs and real estate that they were unable to sell; and finally the Great Recession began and the stock market crashed.
