Chinese tech singularity or just a flash in the pan? From DeepSeek, Huawei, TikTok, to Game Science

Chinese tech

This recall me two things: They all suddenly show up recent years, are they the Chinese tech singularity?

Chinese companies disrupt the world

From Huawei (see “How does the all-powerful Huawei make money?“), TikTok (see “ByteDance, TikTok’s parent comapny, the world’s most valuable unicorn” and “TikTok, the rival of all social networks“), Game Science, to DeepSeek (see “DeepSeek routed the global AI and stock“).

And from BYD (see “How does BYD make money? Why it beat Tesla? Sweeping the global EV market“), CATL, DJI, Insta360, Shein(see “How does Shein, the world’s fastest growing fast fashion seller, make money?“), Temu (see “How does Pinduoduo make money, why it surpass Alibaba and become No. valuable listed Chinese companies in US?“), to Hesai (ticker: HSAI), Akeso, Momenta, XReal, to Unitree Robotics(see “Humanoid Robots current status and vendors“), and to Enlight Media’s Ne Zha 2 animated film. In addition, there are popular games such as Tencent’s “League of Legends”, Kuro Games’ “Wuthering Waves”, and miHoYo’s “Genshin Impact”.

Commonality

These names all (or almost) have the following commonality:

  • The United States has banned them all, or they are close to being banned.
  • Of course, in order to cater of flattery to the United States, in order to completely block any communication with China, Taiwan, which has no opinions of its own and can only cover up its own incompetence to prevent the people from discovering its backwardness in all aspects and has a large internal propaganda with the purpose of demonizing any Chinese elements, has also banned (or nearly) them all.
  • Europe and the United States were caught off guard and began to use magnifying glasses to find specious or unfounded reasons to trouble these companies in order to achieve their goal of rationalizing the boycott. If they still cannot achieve their goal, they will start to demonize them. The most common reason is to accuse the Chinese government of subsidizing enterprises. The problem is that the United States, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and governments around the world do the same thing when it comes to assisting and subsidizing enterprises in industrial development. Many non-Chinese companies (including TSMC and Tesla) also openly accept large industrial subsidies from the Chinese government. It is obvious that the two sets of standards are that officials are allowed to set fires but ordinary people are not allowed to light lamps.
  • They have disrupted their respective industries and are leading manufacturers in their respective fields. Please note that they rely not only on cheapness, but also on superior quality than their European and American competitors.
  • People from all over the world, including white Americans and Europeans, love these products.
  • Most of them are not listed companies.

It has only suddenly appeared before the world’s eyes in recent years.

Why?

I have a question for you who are reading this article now: “Why?

If there is any business I have listed in this article you may not have heard of it. I sincerely advise you to take a few minutes to learn about this company and product that you may not have heard of!

China’s tech singularity?

Will these companies be short-lived? Or is it the tipping point that triggers the trend? Or is it the technological singularity demonstrated by China? Please note: Compared with the well-known large companies in Europe and the United States, most people know that the companies listed above have a very short history of establishment, some of which are even less than ten years old.

Note: “Singularity” is a concept proposed by American science fiction writer Vernor Vinge. It refers to an event or situation that may occur in the future, that is, the intelligence of artificial intelligence exceeds the level of human intelligence, which in turn triggers explosive changes in technology and society, making it difficult to predict and understand what will happen in the future. The singularity can occur in many ways.

Xi met with top 8 Chinese tech behemoths

Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at a private enterprise symposium in Beijing on February 17, 2025. The private enterprises attending included the most important technology companies in the mainland. The timing of Xi Jinping’s meeting with technology giants comes at a time when the mainland’s economic recovery from the epidemic is weak and a new round of trade war between China and the United States has begun. It is the highest-level private enterprise symposium in six years.

This picture shows the representatives of non-state owned enterprises who attended the meeting. From top left to bottom right are:

  • Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba
  • Liang Wenfeng, founder of DeepSeek
  • Ren Zhengfei, founder of Huawei
  • Pony Ma, founder of Tencent
  • Zeng Yuqun, founder of CATL
  • Wang Chuanfu, founder of BYD
  • Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi
  • Wang Xingxing, founder of Yushu Technology

This chart represents the current top eight non-state owned technology enterprises in China, which is very important.

Other Chinese technology leaders attending the event included Liu Qingfeng of CASIC, a voice artificial intelligence company, Yu Renrong, chairman of Will Semiconductor, a photosensitive component company, and Qi Xiangdong, chairman of cybersecurity company Qi’anxin Technology Group.

Closing words

White people in Europe and America and “self-righteous” (I use this term because those who think they are part of the white alliance are just wishful thinking, and the white people only treat you as a colony and a servant brother) are some countries in the white world. They have repeatedly demonized China’s achievements for only one purpose: only white people can control and dominate the world. China is only worthy of making clothes and shoes, and cannot and is not allowed to make chips. It can only fire sky rockets and cannot land on the moon; Chinese can only fight with swords, and white people are worthy of guns. And if I hit you, you have to stand at attention and you can’t fight back! The logic of white people is so simple: I can, but you can’t, and I think you don’t deserve it, and you don’t have the right, and not qualified to pursue a better life.

Obama said in an interview with Australia’s ABC in 2010:”If over a billion Chinese citizens have the same living patterns as Australians and Americans do right now then all of us are in for a very miserable time, the planet just can’t sustain it,” This is not only a typical racial discrimination statement, but also a blatant provocation to the human right and conscience of the Chinese people and mankind.

There are often cases of Chinese people being beaten up in the streets in the United States. Can white people tell whether Taiwanese people are Chinese or Taiwanese when they walk on the streets of the United States or Europe? Why do the media repeatedly report that many Taiwanese people trapped abroad who need assistance do not seek help from the local Taiwan representative office but instead seek help from the Chinese embassy? Why did TSMC seek the consent and approval of the United States instead of the Taiwanese government to set up a factory in the UAE?

I still remember that in March 2003, the United States invaded Iraq. The reason given by then-US President Bush was that “there is sufficient evidence that Iraq possesses weapons of mass destruction.” 21 years have passed, where are the evidence for so-called “weapons of mass destruction”?
